Our Process

When the people we serve call or meet with us at community events, they are typically seeking enrollment in the Arizona AHCCCS (Medicaid) program. Our Benefits Coordinator will:

  1. Ask a few preliminary questions to determine which programs they could potentially apply for.
  2. Utilize the AHCCCS database (as an AHCCCS Community Partner) to complete an assessment and (if qualified) an application.
  3. After submitting an application, gather additional information and signatures.
  4. Notify clients accepted for AHCCCS benefits and refer them to a certified broker to determine additional options, or
  5. Notify clients not accepted for AHCCCS benefits and refer them to community partners who can help them evaluate alternative options.

If you know of a senior who needs help with AHCCCS, food stamps, cash assistance, or Medicare Parts A-D call an AccessMed Benefits Coordinator at 602-375-2412 or email Benefits@AccessMed.org.
